The Brave Boy and the Lost Monster

Tommy was afraid of the dark and always slept with a night light on and a teddy bear in his arms. He hated going to bed because he imagined monsters hiding under his bed or in his closet. 

One night, he heard a loud thump from his closet. He was terrified and wanted to scream, but he remembered what his mom had told him: "Be brave, Tommy. There's nothing to be afraid of. Monsters are not real."

Tommy gathered his courage and decided to face his fear. He grabbed his flashlight and his teddy bear and slowly walked towards the closet. He opened the door and shone the light inside.

He saw a big, furry creature with horns, claws and sharp teeth. It was a monster!

"Who are you and What are you doing here?" Tommy asked, trying to sound brave.

"I'm Munchy. I'm lost. Can you help me?" the monster said.

"Help you? How?" Tommy asked.

"I don't know where I am. I came from another world, but I got stuck here. I want to go home.", Munchy said.

"Another world? How did you get here?" Tommy asked.

"I don't know. I was playing with my friends in the forest, and then I saw a bright light. I followed it and it led me here, but then it disappeared and I couldn't find it again.", said Muncy.

"That's strange. Maybe it was a portal or something." Tommy said.

"A portal? What's that?", said Munchy with a surprise look on this face.

"It's like a doorway to another place or dimension. Maybe you can find it again if you look around." Tommy explained.

"Really? Do you think so?", said Munchy.

Tommy felt sorry for the monster. He realized that it was not evil, rather lost and scared - just like Tommy. He thought for a moment and then said:

"Okay, My name is Tommy I'll be your friend. But only if you promise to stay in my closet until we find your portal."

"Really? Thank you! I promise!", said Munchy, sound happy.

"Don't worry, we'll find your way home.", Tommy said with confidence.

Tommy and Munchy became friends and started for the portal together, but they couldn't find. As they both started to get tired, they decided to sleep and try again tomorrow. The next day, Tommy woke and ran straight to his closet, and found a note in his closet.

Dear Tommy,

I found my portal! It was behind your clothes! I’m going home now and will come back again to visit you! Thank you for being my friend!

Goodbye, Tommy!

Tommy felt happy and sad. He closed his closet door and went back to bed. He didn’t need a night light or a teddy bear anymore, as he knew, monsters were not bad, especially his friend Munchy. Tommy was looking forward to seeing his friend soon.
